Foundations of Faith-

  • The Bible is God’s inspired, authoritative, infallible word; wholly reliable for building our faith and lifestyle.
  • Man was made in the image of God and is the crown of creation; intended for fruitfulness and dominion. By reason of the fall he has lost his relationship with God, and lost the way to God’s purposes and resources. He is spiritually depraved and alienated from his Creator.  Apart from God’s grace he has no ability to attain to his high calling.
  • There is one true eternal God, Creator of the universe who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit governing all things according to the purpose of His will.
  • Our Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God.  He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world, resurrected bodily for our justification, and ascended into heaven where He now reigns in glory until His personal return when all things shall be put under His feet.
  • The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, drawing, convincing and conforming us to the image of Jesus Christ.
  • Our salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone in the work and shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary.
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a promise of God to all believers subsequent to salvation.  The baptism in the Holy Spirit was a common experience of all believers in the early church.  Believers can expect and receive this endowment of power, the promise of the Father with the normative sign of speaking in tongues. The Holy Spirit baptism is given by God to anoint and empower the believer in sanctification, evangelism and victorious living.
  • All who are born of God should also follow Jesus Christ by being buried and resurrected with Him in water baptism in obedience to the scripture.
  • The five-fold ministry and the gifts of the Spirit (charisms) are active within the Body of Christ (the church) today.  Furthermore, these five-fold ministries are gifts to the church for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.  The development of these gifts ought to be encouraged under the guidance of local church authorities.
  • The church is God’s primary means of fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth; we confess the local church to be sovereign and autonomous.
  • The priesthood of the believer, that all people born of God have equal status and direct access to the Lord.  Furthermore, we believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • The literal second coming of Christ will include the resurrection of all people, both believers and unbelievers; the believers unto the resurrection of life and the unbelievers unto the resurrection of damnation.
